Position Summary and Impact: 


The primary responsibility of a Pricing Associate will be to ensure the accurate and timely pricing of all global securities (e.g. bank loans, derivatives, swaptions, fair value pricing) daily in our recordkeeping systems including trading, performance and compliance.


Functional Responsibilities: 


·        Price/valuation of domestic, international equities, fixed income, derivatives and futures/options securities.  This entails daily validation and verification of daily pricing utilizing secondary vendors and various market data sources (Bloomberg, Reuters, etc.)

·        Analysis and research of daily US and international market movements relative to price fluctuations will be required

·        Monitor world markets throughout the day, research, and effectively communicate significant market and security events (trade halts, early exchange closings) to advisory teams and senior management. 

·        Monitor receipt of foreign exchange rates into the data warehouse system and review foreign rates day over day variation

·        Provide support to traders, portfolio managers, middle office, fund administration, and fund accounting. (Not applicable)

·        Prepare monthly metric and pricing reports for senior management

·        Prepare and maintain standard operating procedures

·        Prepare and research price breaks against custodian and fund accounting

·        Project participation.  This will include writing business requirement, reviewing functional specifications, testing and implementation.

·        Strong written and communication skills, liaison for third party vendors, external clients and custodian

·        Interface with internal and external business teams to identify root cause of exceptions and assist with corrective and preventive action

·        Train and coach peer team members


Job Requirements And Qualifications:

Required Education:

Bachelor’s Degree

Accounting, Business, finance or related discipline

Required Experience:

3-7.5 years

·        Investment  Banking / Asset Management Industry experience in an offshored operations environment.

·        Minimum of 5 years’ experience supporting equity / fixed income operations (pricing, data   management, corporate actions) required

·        General knowledge of financial markets and products

·        General knowledge of front, middle, and back office investment operations.

·        Working knowledge of standard fixed income / equity investment products

·        Thorough knowledge of various instrument types (fixed income, equities, options, futures, and derivatives), and pricing methodologies

·        Thorough understanding of world markets, exchanges and indices required

·        Strong analytical/reconciliation and research skills required

·        Proficient with Excel required

·        Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook,  Word) intermediate level skill set

·        Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills

·        Ability to work both independently and within a team.


Skills and Abilities:


·        Reuters, Markit, JPM Pricing Direct and IDC portals

·        Bloomberg experience

·        Fund accounting knowledge

·        Knowledge of fair value and liquidity determination.

·        Eagle Pace working knowledge

·        Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)

·        Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

·        Strong work ethic and the ability to perform in a team atmosphere

·        Excellent problem recognition and resolution skills

·        Ability to interact effectively with internal stakeholders

·        Focus on delivering consistent and superior customer service

·        Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment

·        Ability to think critically to solve problems and look for process improvements
